Frequently Asked Questions

What does Veteran Benefits USA do?

We help veterans and their families understand what VA benefits they may qualify for—and guide them through the process of getting the support they deserve. Whether you're dealing with a new claim, a denial, or don't even know where to start, we're here to make things simpler.

Do you work for the VA?

No—we are not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are a private organization dedicated to helping veterans navigate the VA system and connect with professionals who can assist with their claims.

Is this service free?

Your initial 15-minute consultation is completely free—no pressure, no obligation. It’s a chance for us to understand your situation and point you in the right direction.

If you choose to move forward with a more in-depth pre-filing consultation or claim support, there may be a fee depending on the type of claim and the level of assistance required. For example, appeals and complex service-connected claims often involve more time and resources. We’ll always explain any costs clearly before you commit to anything—no surprises, no hidden fees. You’ll know exactly what to expect before moving forward.

I already filed a VA claim. Can you still help me?

Yes! If your claim was denied, or you feel your current rating is too low, we can help you explore your options for an appeal, a rating increase, or a supplemental claim. Many veterans qualify for more than they’re currently receiving.

What kind of conditions do you help with?

We assist with a wide range of service-connected conditions, including:

  • PTSD, anxiety, depression

  • Back, neck, and joint pain

  • Hearing loss and tinnitus

  • Sleep apnea and chronic fatigue

  • Migraines and headaches

  • Exposure-related illnesses (Agent Orange, burn pits, etc.)

  • Diabetes, heart disease, and more

Even if you’re not sure your condition is covered, we encourage you to reach out—you may still qualify.

What is Aid & Attendance?

Aid & Attendance is an additional monthly benefit for veterans or surviving spouses who need help with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, or eating. It can also help cover the cost of in-home care, assisted living, or a nursing facility.

What is DIC (Dependency and Indemnity Compensation)?

DIC is a tax-free monthly payment made to surviving spouses, children, or parents of veterans who passed away due to a service-connected condition or while on active duty. Many families don’t know they’re eligible—we can help find out.

How long does the process take?

Every case is different. Some benefits may be approved quickly, while others take longer depending on the VA’s timeline and the complexity of your case. The sooner we review your information, the sooner we can help you get started.

I’m not sure what I qualify for. What should I do?

That’s exactly why we’re here.Start with our free eligibility quiz—it only takes 2 minutes and helps point you in the right direction.
